FANS THINK THIS IS BORING
Florida State has begun its fall camp. This means that college football is on the horizon as the Seminoles look to prove that they can have a sustainable campaign in 2025.
There are a ton of conversations about the new pieces via the transfer portal and recruiting ranks that Florida State football brought in. This is for good reason since the program wants to bring new energy to a fan base that is starving for success.
The Seminoles had to start youngsters when the season spiraled out of control. Two of the contributors who performed well were tight ends Landen Thomas and Amaree Williams.
NEW ADDITIONS
Florida State head football coach Mike Norvell spoke at the podium on Tuesday afternoon as he explained that sophomore tight end Landen Thomas has been limited to begin fall camp. This is likely why the Seminoles' fan base hasn't heard much about him.
Thomas is probably still giving Clemson nightmares after his performance. The Seminoles want dynamic weapons to put points on the scoreboards, and the offense most certainly need Thomas in action to accomplish that feat.
Norvell also mentions that Randy Pittman Jr., Amaree Williams, and Markeston Douglas are making plays. Chase Loftin was limited for a few days, but he got him back out there, and he made some plays today, which is encouraging.
The tight end position is loaded with options. I hope that offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn uses them all over the field. Given that there was a priority to keep Markeston Douglas after he entered the transfer portal for the second time and former offensive lineman Bryson Estes worked at tight end during fall camp, it could mean that two tight end sets could be back in 2025.
