Florida State football did not have the 2024 season that it wanted after finishing with a 2-10 record. It wasn't much to positively list for the fan base. It was an utter failure by head football coach Mike Norvell.
It was not all bad for the Seminoles last year. Florida State did have a few bright spots. There were three participants in the 2025 Reese's Senior Bowl: defensive back Azareye'h Thomas, defensive tackle Joshua Farmer, and kicker Ryan Fitzgerald.
Thomas performed well in the Senior Bowl practices. As a result, the defensive back did not play in the game to avoid risking injury. This is common practice for NFL scouts, especially since Thomas is a special talent.
We already saw former defensive backs such as Renardo Green (49ers) and Jarrian Jones (Jaguars) ball out in their rookie years. Thomas looks to be following in their footsteps.
Even though Jones and Green were talented players, neither of them was selected in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft. Fast forward to Thomas, NFL Network Analytics Expert Cynthia Frelund has the Kansas City Chiefs drafting the defensive back with the 32nd overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

I think Thomas's range could be late first round. NFL teams are excited by his length. I realize that some fans might not like the Kansas City Chiefs considering that they are trying to win their third straight Super Bowl as they take on the Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday.
It would be great to see the Niceville product in a winning environment such as the Chiefs. I cannot wait to see how he eventually ends up with the draft being in April. The pro day and NFL Scouting Combine will be massive for Thomas.
