FSU went from having options at the quarterback position a few weeks ago to putting all of their eggs into one proverbial basket. Five-star Keisean Henderson canceled an official visit to FSU he recently set up a few days ago, and four-star Landon Duckworth canceled his FSU official that has been set for months.

Duckworth canceling his official visit was no surprise to me and could be a good thing since it provides clarity and informs the staff where to allocate those resources.
Duckworth never visiting FSU during the spring was the biggest red flag of all and something I pointed to this spring after FSU offered him when Brady Smigiel de-committed at the end of January.
FSU offered three new players at the time (two uncommitted and one committed elsewhere), and I mentioned getting them on campus to visit during the spring would be paramount. Bowe Bentley unofficially visited and eliminated FSU from his top schools. Duckworth never made it to campus which told me FSU wasn't a serious contender because he visited Ole Miss and South Carolina.
Ironically, Ole Miss is no longer in the picture, but the home state Auburn Tigers have emerged as a final contender. I wrote earlier this spring it was odd they were not involved yet.
Nevertheless, FSU can focus on Oklahoma commit Jaden O'Neal, who is set to officially visit next week. His recruitment could be tied to Bowe Bentley's, who's down to Oklahoma and LSU. If Bentley chooses Oklahoma, that'd help FSU's chances a ton. However, if he doesn't, I don't think Oklahoma's new offensive coordinator is in love with him, and why O'Neal started looking around. A cracked door ain't hard to open as my grandpops would say.
I know the perception of Duckworth canceling his visit looks negative, but he wouldn't sign with FSU anyway if he didn't make an attempt to visit in the spring.
At least Jaden O'Neal has camped at FSU before and visited FSU in the spring while committed to Oklahoma. I wrote they took a couple of steps to flip him while getting the unofficial in the spring and setting up the official visit for June.
He looks to be the guy they have to close the deal with if they wish to sign a QB among the top 15 nationally.
