Bethune-Cookman did something that Link Jarrett and Florida State couldn't accomplish

That is extremely frustrating to see.

Florida State baseball defeated Stetson by a score of 9-2 on Tuesday in the friendly confines of Dick Howser Stadium. As a result, I don't want to undermine the victory as the Seminoles got out of their four-game losing streak.

With that said, it has been a difficult season for Florida State baseball after they lost their star player, Myles Bailey, to a season-ending injury. Bailey was a power bat in their lineup that gave the offense a spark that was unlike anyone else in the lineup.

However, just like losing quarterback Jordan Travis to his injury in 2023, the show must go on. The Seminoles have to learn how to adapt without his services. Make no excuse about it, head coach Link Jarrett is one of the better ones in all of college baseball. Coach Jarrett seems to always have a plan in place.

Bethune-Cookman defeated the arch-rival Florida Gators Tuesday night on the road

Florida State is sitting at 25-11 overall (9-6 in conference). The Seminoles are trying to get a top-eight national seed, but it might be too far out of reach for them this year. Florida State does have a pivotal home series this weekend against Notre Dame, where they probably have to secure a series sweep.

The Seminoles put themselves in a hole after being swept by Georgia Tech and also getting swept by the arch-rival Florida Gators. It is fascinating how other teams can be successful against the Gators, but Florida State always finds a way to lose against them.

Florida lays victim to another Tuesday night loss, as Bethune-Cookman defeats the Gators by a score of 13-7.

Head coach Kevin O'Sullivan always seems to have his players ready to go when they play Florida State, but any other team on a Tuesday, they take the night off. That is the extremely frustrating part.

Nonetheless, Florida State has to find a way to focus on itself as they finish out conference play.
