FSU FOOTBALL
Florida State lost to Pittsburgh on Saturday afternoon by a score of 34-31. The Seminoles have now lost three straight contests, where the coaching staff, players, and fans are searching for answers. Individuals are frustrated with head football coach Mike Norvell.
The temperature is getting hotter in Tallahassee, as Norvell has not responded to the adversity of having a 2-10 season, other than the season-opening victory against Alabama (which looks to be in the rearview mirror).
This has to be a wake-up call for the program. Right?
NEXT GAME UP
I know that the fan base doesn't want to hear this, but this squad needs to flush this Pittsburgh loss down the drain. They need to move forward and focus on beating Stanford. Florida State couldn't have gotten a better ACC team to face off against to break its 1-11 streak against ACC squads.
The Stanford Cardinal is a horrible football team, where they are sitting at a 2-4 record (it makes me cringe that Florida State is only one game better than that). They lost yet again this week by a score of 34-10, as they went on the road to SMU.
The only wins that they have secured are San Jose State by a score of 30-29 and Boston College by a score of 30-20. Neither San State nor Boston College is a good football squad. Former quarterback and general manager Andrew Luck has his work cut out for him as he looks to rebuild his alma mater.
FanDuel Sportsbook has Florida State favored by 14.5 points on the road against Stanford. That speaks volumes to how bad the Cardinal really are. If you told me in the offseason that the Seminoles were only a two-touchdown favorite against Stanford, I would hammer the Florida State line.
However, this is a different circumstance now, as the Seminoles are reeling. As a result, please bet at your own risk if you decide to select Florida State.
Nonetheless, Go Noles and let's beat Stanford!
