Florida State football wants to get dynamic weapons from its wide receiver room. They have had success in doing so. The Seminoles were able to retain current wide receivers such as Duce Robinson, Micahi Danzy, and Jayvan Boggs.
This is a great trio to have in the fold, even though the Seminoles couldn't retain talented youngster Lawayne McCoy (signed with Louisville). However, whoever the quarterback is between Ashton Daniels, Kevin Sperry, or Malachi Marshall, they will have plenty of options to throw to.
Wide receivers coach Tim Harris Jr. is slowly emerging as the team's top developer and recruiter. Harris Jr. grabbed multiple wide receiver prospects in the 2026 cycle with four-star Jasen Lopez, four-star Devin Carter, four-star Efrem White, four-star Brandon Bennett, three-star Darryon Williams, and three-star Jonah Winston.
Florida State assistant coach Tim Harris Jr. is out there again, putting his recruiting hat on for the Seminoles
Florida State has plenty of young wide receivers, but the grind doesn't stop, as programs continuously recruit the position. Assistant coach Tim Harris Jr. was added to the coaching staff after they elected to fire previous coach Ron Dugans.
Even with the 2026 recruiting haul being as good as it is, the Seminoles need to find a few options to put in the 2027 recruiting class. Duce Robinson will be a senior during the season, so the program needs to find answers there.
The 2027 recruiting class for Florida State has three-star tight end Connor Winn committed to the program. While he can be used as a hybrid wide receiver, they want more recruits who are natural wide receivers.
The Seminoles have offered 42 prospects at the wide receiver position so far during the 2027 cycle. Still, coach Tim Harris Jr. went out to visit various areas around the country, and he took a visit to Dillard High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to see four-star wide receiver Anthony Jennings.

Jennings is a quick 6'0" wide receiver who can play in the slot or on the outside. However, one team to monitor in the recruitment right now is the arch-rival Florida Gators. The Gators have the "new car smell" with having a new voice at head coach in Jon Sumrall.
Harris Jr. needs to close the deal on a prospect that ranks in the top-250 of the 247Sports Composite rankings.
