Arch-rival Miami Hurricanes grab a recruit that the Seminoles thought they lead for

This was a bummer to let Miami grab this prospect from Florida State.

Florida State has not had much luck with its 2027 recruiting class, where the Seminoles still only have six commitments in the fold. Head coach Mike Norvell and Florida State have fallen outside of the top-25, which concerns the fan base because they expect a top-ten class.

It is unfortunate because the program has had six losing seasons in eight years. There needs to be some sort of excitement. However, it is hard to accomplish that when the administration brought back Mike Norvell for the 2026 season.

The fan base has officially turned on Norvell. Even though I support all individuals who wear the Garnet and Gold, I get why fans are frustrated with how things have transpired, and I hope that his being the play caller in 2026 will bring back the mojo from the 2022 and 2023 seasons.

Unfortunately, the arch-rival Miami Hurricanes have been their kryptonite as they played Indiana in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game. Cristobal has never been one to produce wins on the gridiron.

Miami gets a highly-touted running back target away from Florida State

His speciality has been on the recruiting trail, especially in the trenches. However, Miami surprised the fan base when they grabbed four-star running back prospect Ty Keys from Poplarville, Mississippi, as he committed to the Hurricanes.

Keys was thought to be someone that Florida State led for. However, while not making excuses, running back could be one of the positions that the Seminoles could be okay with striking out on, but the offensive and defensive trenches are something that Florida State cannot afford to miss on.

Four-star Brayden Tyson is someone that the fan base should monitor. Tyson is from Snellville, Georgia, and has visited the Seminoles three times already this spring. The running back will be officially visiting Florida State on the weekend of June 12th. The Seminoles will have to compete with South Carolina, Rutgers, Miami (unlikely after Keys), and Purdue.

The Seminoles have talented backs in the rotation that they can build around, such as Ousmane Kromah and Amari Thomas, but Florida State could always use the highly-touted prospects in Tallahassee.
