With every Alabama injury, the game against the Crimson Tide feels more winnable.

This isn't to say fans should root for opposing players to get injured. It's about as tacky as fandom gets. But the announcement that Alabama defensive lineman Tim Kennan will miss the opener and several more games with tightrope surgery, takes another quality player out of the lineup.

Alabama coach Kalen DeBoer gave a hint that Keenan's situation was delicate when he said the lineman probably would not be a 'full go' against the Seminoles this weekend.

The Tide have gotten banged up during their camp. It was already announced that starting running back Jam Miller is out and starting right guard Jaeden Roberts might not be available on Saturday.

The momentum shift is real

If we're being honest with each other, FSU is going to need some breaks to win this game and Alabama being down three starters while working in a new starter at quarterback is some good fortune for the Seminoles.

The offensive line was already facing a tall order against this Alabama front, well Keenan was as good as any player on the Tide's front seven. He is a disrupter in the middle with a 325-pound frame that can be hell on guards and centers. Now he's gone and the line's job just got a tad easier.

With Ty Simpson starting his first game for the Tide, it was expected they were going to lean heavily on Miller. He was the only running back in the room with starting experience, and now he's gone, and the defense's job just got a tad easier.

A cleaner bill of health

While Alabama is limping into Saturday, FSU seems to have gotten healthy at the right time. Players like Jayson Jenkins, Squirrel White and Jacob Rizy have spent the past several weeks working their way into shape and will be available on Saturday.

Again, none of us can predict what's going to happen on Saturday, but FSU fans that were already optimistic have to feel really good now, and fans who were struggling to find the positives have to admit that the momentum certainly feels like it's in favor of the Seminoles.
