ACC team trolls Clemson on social media, FSU football ready for the challenge

This should not be an endorsement of Florida State going on another 19-game winning streak after finding a way to beat a solid Wake Forest team, but the Seminoles had to find a way to respond to the adversity of having not beat a conference opponent since September 21, 2024.

That drought was mighty impressive, and it had the fan base and even some important boosters concerned about the future under head football coach Mike Norvell. Nonetheless, he is now 37-31 in his six seasons at Florida State. The standard isn't back, but this could be a method to spark the change.

This isn't an opportunity to promote the "moral victories" because the Seminoles still have four games left on their regular season schedule. Plus, there will still be a comprehensive assessment done by the administration done at the end of the year.

TAKING IT DAY BY DAY

All that Florida State football can do is taking it one step at a time. The next obstacle will occur when the Seminoles take on Clemson in Death Valley. The Tigers have their own set of difficulties after losing to Duke by a score of 46-45 at home. Plus, to make matters even worse, their social media team trolled their home stadium on the internet.

Head football coach Dabo Swinney is starting to worry about his job security with the Tigers, as they fell to a 3-5 record. This is even worse than Florida State. However, the good news for Clemson is their offense had a pulse against Duke, where they scored 45 points and had 560 total yards.

Plus, the Seminoles will have to go to Death Valley to play Clemson at 7:00 PM EST as 2.5-point underdogs. The last time that Florida State won a road game was against Florida in 2023, by a score of 24-15 with former backup quarterback Tate Rodemaker.

Before the Seminoles defeated Clemson on the road in 2023 by a score of 31-24 in overtime, the previous occurrence before that happened in 2023 when Florida State and former quarterback Jameis Winston destroyed the Tigers by a score of 51-14 in 2013.

Florida State needs to focus on getting better and having a great week of practice.
