The conference writes the jokes for themselves.

Florida State baseball fans knew there was a chance the first game of the Tallahassee Regional would be affected by the weather. The Noles hosted the St. John’s Red Storm, but Florida State fans couldn’t watch the game unless they had an ESPN+ subscription.

The game was supposed to air on the ACC Network, but it got moved to ESPN+ after a two-hour weather delay. Here’s the thing. The networks knew there was a possibility the game would be delayed and had no secondary plans to air the game on the ACC Network? They instead decided to air some offseason football content.

How can a conference be so unorganized that it can’t air a postseason baseball game in real time? One of the top baseball programs in the ACC, a top 10 national seed, is relegated to ESPN+, and folks wonder why Florida State fans want to get out of this terrible conference.

Florida State fans sounded off on social media:

This conference is so much of a joke it ain't even funny any more.

I understand that football content is king, but nobody is tuning into the ACC Network at the end of May to watch anything about Louisville or Georgia Tech. Could you imagine a network deciding not to air a NCAA Basketball Tournament game during March Madness? College baseball is a sport that's growing each and every year, but the ACC appears to not understand there's value in airing arguably its most popular brand, regardless of sport.

It's another instance of the ACC failing to read the room, and another of why the conference is leaps and bounds behind the B1G and SEC on and off the field. FSU Athletic Director Michael Alford has hinted the Noles will look to make a move in 2028 to potentially leave the conference for greener pastures, and it can't come fast enough.

Florida State was leading St. John's 2-1 in the bottom of the second at the time this article was published. John Stuetzer and Gabe Fraser hit solo home runs for the Noles.
