Florida State made headlines in the wrong fashion during the 2024 season, where they finished with a 2-10 record. The Seminoles were disappointed and became a laughing stock among some individuals.

This is not the standard, and head football coach Mike Norvell knew that. The offense ranked as one of the worst in all of college football. This is supposed to be an offense built for playmakers. It became an offense that struggled to put points on the scoreboard.

As a result, Norvell decided to make the difficult decision to fire offensive assistant coaches, such as offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins and wide receivers coach Ron Dugans.

Then Norvell went on to hire Gus Malzahn as offensive coordinator, Tim Harris Jr. as wide receivers coach, and Herb Hand as offensive line coach. The UCF Knights finished with a 4-8 record, and some fans wonder why Florida State wanted these staff members. I want to highlight three reasons to trust the Seminoles grabbing some UCF coaches on the staff.
