Florida State football had a forgettable 2024 campaign where it finished with a 2-10 record. The results were unthinkable even as hard as Seminole fans tried to erase its memory.
Florida State has a proud football program that is used to competing for conference and national championships. That is the precedent that has been set.
Head football coach Mike Norvell has had quite the tenure with the Seminoles, where he finished with a 3-6 record in 2020, 5-7 in 2021, 10-3 in 2022, 13-1 in 2023, and then 2-10 in 2024.
The two wins last year put a bad taste in everyone's mouth, and major changes needed to be made. There were several coaching staff changes as well as new player acquisitions via the transfer portal and recruiting ranks.
The ACC decided to unveil every team's full conference schedule. The Seminoles were an interesting squad to monitor since the desire is to win in 2025.
-vs Alabama (August 30th)
-vs East Texas A&M (September 6th)
-vs Kent State (September 20th)
-at Virginia (September 26th)
-vs Miami (October 4th)
-vs Pittsburgh (October 11th)
-at Stanford (October 18th)
-vs Wake Forest (November 1st)
-at Clemson (November 8th)
-vs Virginia Tech (November 15th)
-at North Carolina State (November 21st)
-at Florida (November 29th)
The conference has treated the Seminoles like they are the step-child of the league. Meanwhile, the Miami Hurricanes are treated like royalty even though they have not won a conference title yet. Nonetheless, here are three positives that I noticed about Florida State football's 2025 schedule.
