FSU football had a favorable schedule in 2024 and finished with a 2-10, 1-8 ACC). It was the worst FSU team in most of our lifetimes, but FSU fans have been ready to turn the page since the clock hit triple zero at the end of the Florida game.

It's a brand new year with a mostly brand new staff in Tallahassee. The changes have brought fresh air to fans and pumped some new life into recruiting.

FSU will field nearly an entire new team. They'll have a different offense and defense. They will have a new quarterback, offensive line, wide receivers, tight ends, defensive front, and linebackers.

We've said this a few times in the Mike Norvell era, but this is the most important year for Mike Norvell. Each time Mike Norvell has been in make-or-break seasons, he delivered in spades. I expect the 2024 team to be much better overall, but their success will depend on how the schedule unfolds. The ACC unveiled the full 2025 schedule on Monday night:

vs. Alabama: August 30
vs. East Texas A&M: September 6
Open: September 13th
vs. Kent St: September 20th
@ Virginia: September 26th (Friday night)
vs. Miami: October 4th
vs. Pitt: October 11th
@ Stanford: October 18th
Open: October 25th
vs. Wake Forest: November 1
@ Clemson: November 8
vs. Virginia Tech: November 15th
@ NC State: November 21nd (Friday night)
@ Florida: November 29th

Here are my three initial thoughts from the full 2025 schedule.
