FSU FOOTBALL PROVING DOUBTERS
Florida State football had a 2-10 record last year, which is not something that the Seminoles were used to, as they are expected to compete for conference and national championships. Individuals such as Paul Finebaum and Greg McElroy try to make the program a laughing stock.
Head football coach Mike Norvell made significant moves this offseason, adding new coaches to the staff and acquiring key pieces to the roster through recruiting rankings and the transfer portal. In this article, I want to highlight three players on the Seminoles' roster who could create fireworks for the 2025 season.
QB THOMAS CASTELLANOS
Quarterback Thomas Castellanos has made headlines this offseason as he made his controversial comments about the season-opening opponent, Alabama. Castellanos has had a solid career with the Boston College Eagles, but fans were worried about him getting benched last year. The thought process is that his reunion with former UCF head football coach Gus Malzahn will be beneficial.
RB OUSMANE KROMAH
Florida State had a productive 2025 recruiting class, with one of the biggest acquisitions being four-star running back Ousmane Kromah. The Seminoles' rushing attack was horrendous last season, with 89 rushing yards per game. I know that the program added former Oklahoma transfer Gavin Sawchuk this offseason, but the staff will likely not be able to sit the talented Georgia native if he is ready.
DB EARL LITTLE JR.
I had a difficult time coming up with three players for this article, but I couldn't dismiss the fact that defensive coordinator Tony White spoke so glowingly about former Alabama defensive back transfer Earl Little Jr., where he described the defender as "Him". Little Jr. did not make much of an impact with the Seminoles in 2024, but this could be the change of scenery that he needed.
