WR JALEN BROWN

The transfer portal class that was constructed during the last offseason has been well documented by us at ChopChat. Plot twist: It was not pretty.

The Florida State offense was one of the worst in all of college football. The Seminoles were thought to be headed by one of the best playcallers in the entire country, Mike Norvell. However, that notion fell flat on their face.

Norvell decided to hand the keys to former UCF head football coach Gus Malzahn, who is known to coordinate dynamic offenses. He has been known to get playmakers in space. One piece that I am excited for is wide receiver Jalen Brown.

The redshirt freshman was picked up from the LSU Tigers. The coaching staff was super high on him out of high school. He was known for his blazing speed at Gulliver Prep in Florida. Brown only recorded only eight receptions for 75 yards for the Seminoles last year.

He is a little on the smaller side with his frame. However, with veteran JaKhi Douglas graduating and moving on from the slot position, Brown is poised to take a step forward. If the playmaker gets in the weight room and works on his physicality, he could be someone to monitor in 2025.
