College football fans are as fickle as they come. One game, they love you, and the next minute, you’re the worst coach or player in the entire world. Those emotions have been going on over time for Florida State fans over the past few weeks.

The unexpected upset win over Alabama to open the season probably did more harm than good because it caused fans to make wholesale adjustments to their preseason expectations.

The expectations became to win the ACC and make the College Football Playoff or bust after one win, when the expectations were to win at least seven or eight games the week before the season started.

FSU is still in a great position to reach that goal, starting with a win over the Pittsburgh Panthers this week. FSU is a -10.5 betting favorite, and a win would put them halfway to eight wins, with several more winnable games on deck.

It sucks to lose a game to your rival, especially when it’s in prime time with tons of big-time recruits in attendance. Fans overanalyze, listen to uninformed folks on social media, and place blame everywhere under the sun.

There were many overreactions to the Miami loss, and it’s understandable to be upset. However, these 3 major overreactions probably went overboard.
