2025 ACC Power Rankings Thrown into complete chaos after week 10

LOL @ Miami. The ACC is up for grabs now!

Week 10 in the ACC was the total opposite of what we saw in week nine. We mentioned how the ACC had several teams that controlled their destiny, but those teams faltered this week. Georgia Tech fell on the road against NC State. Miami pulled a Miami and lost on the road against SMU. That loss probably guarantees that Miami doesn’t make the ACC Championship game.

FSU won its first ACC game in over a year with a dominating performance against Wake Forest.

Virginia is alone at the top of the conference with a (5-0 ACC) record, although their lone loss is against an ACC foe. Five other ACC teams have one conference loss, but the good news is that several of them play one another.

Here are my updated ACC Power Rankings through 10 weeks:

  1. Virginia (8-1, 5-0 ACC) +3
  2. Georgia Tech (8-1, 5-1 ACC) -1
  3. Louisville (7-1, 4-1 ACC) -1
  4. Pittsburgh (7-2, 5-1 ACC) +1
  5. SMU (6-3, 4-1 ACC) +2
  6. Duke (5-3, 4-1 ACC) +2
  7. Miami (6-2, 2-2 ACC) -4
  8. NC State (5-4, 2-3 ACC) +1
  9. Wake Forest (5-3, 2-3 ACC) -3
  10. Virginia Tech (3-5, 2-2 ACC)
  11. California (5-4, 2-3 ACC)
  12. Syracuse (3-6, 1-5 ACC)
  13. Clemson (3-5, 2-4 ACC)
  14. Stanford (3-6, 2-4 ACC)
  15. FSU (4-4, 1-4 ACC)
  16. North Carolina (3-5, 1-3 ACC)
  17. Boston College (1-8, 0-5 ACC)

Week 11 in the ACC doesn't pose too many matchups that matter in the grand scheme, but week 12 is where things get fun. Virginia can win out and guarantee themselves a spot in the ACCCG. However, the team I have my eye on is Pittsburgh. They have to play Miami and Georgia Tech. If they win out and Louisville loses another game, they could make the ACCCG. Louisville holds a tie-breaker over them, but they must play California, Clemson, and SMU to finish their ACC slate.

Duke could throw a monkey wrench into everything if they beat Virginia next week. What time to be alive with all of these normal bottom feeders in the mix to make the ACCCG.
