FSU football: Pivotal OV weekend is upon us in Tallahassee
3-star DT D’Nas White
Florida State has done a fantastic job of constructing the third-best recruiting class in the nation. However, if fans had one concern about the class thus far, it would be the lack of defensive tackle prospects. The only defensive tackle in the class is three-star Jamorie Flagg from Booker T. Washington High School in Miami, Florida. While I am high on Flagg’s skillset and upside as a prospect, the Seminoles will be losing current players at the position such as Fabien Lovett Sr., Braden Fiske, and Dennis Briggs Jr at the end of the season.
Defensive tackles coach Odell Haggins is one of the best assistant coaches in the country and his resume speaks for itself with all of the talents that he has developed in the NFL. However, that production will be difficult to replicate. This was one of the most talented groups of defensive tackles that Haggins has coached in quite some time. It would be great if the Seminoles could replenish through the recruiting ranks and transfer portal.
Class of 2024 three-star defensive tackle D’Nas White from Jay M. Robinson High School in Concord, North Carolina will be officially visiting this weekend. He is listed at 6’3″ and 327 pounds. The Seminoles could certainly use his size in the trenches. 247Sports Director of Football Recruiting Steve Wiltfong has already put in a crystal prediction in favor of Florida State for the talented defender. Will White decide to commit to the good guys after his visit this weekend?
