FSU football is fresh off its victory over arch-rival Florida on Saturday night where they defeated the Gators by a score of 24-15.

The Seminoles had to play redshirt junior Tate Rodemaker at quarterback, who was making his second-ever collegiate start.

While the offense seem to have a rocky start early on in the contest where they were trailing by a score of 12-0 in the second quarter, Florida State remained composed and trusted themselves to handle the high levels of adversity.

As mentioned previously, this football team understands what it takes to win. The Seminoles are currently on an 18-game winning streak, and don’t want to stop their winning ways now.

Head football coach Mike Norvell and company emphasize the importance of togetherness and commitment to one another. When redshirt senior quarterback Jordan Travis suffered a season-ending injury versus North Alabama, it was devastating for this squad as he was their leader.

On Tuesday afternoon, the College Football Playoff committee released their updated rankings. Florida State was ranked No. 5 in last week’s edition, but Michigan defeated Ohio State in their rivalry game this past Saturday so that means that the Seminoles will move up.

That is exactly happened as Florida State is now in the No. 4 spot for this week’s rankings. Here is the updated top-25 ranking:

1. Georgia

2. Michigan

3. Washington

4. Florida State

5. Oregon

6. Ohio State

7. Texas

8. Alabama

9. Missouri

10. Penn State

11. Ole Miss

12. Oklahoma

13. LSU

14. Louisville

15. Arizona

16. Iowa

17. Notre Dame

18. Oklahoma State

19. NC State

20. Oregon State

21. Tennessee

22. Tulane

23. Clemson

24. Liberty

25. Kansas State

There have many several individuals that doubt the Seminoles’ ability to be successful, especially with Travis going down with an injury. However, the same thought process has remained, Florida State has remain undefeated with beating the likes of LSU and Clemson.

The Seminoles will also have an opportunity to add another top-25 victory if they beat Louisville in the ACC Championship Game this Saturday. It’s a simple concept: Win and FSU is most likely in.
