No. 4 FSU football completed their regular season Saturday night with a 24-15 win over the rival Florida Gators.

The win clinched their seventh perfect regular season in school history. I predicted the Noles to finish 12-0 in preseason game-by-game predictions.

I will admit that I probably didn’t understand how difficult that was, but it’s also a testament to knowing this team well and knowing what opponents on the schedule had gained or lost since last year.

It’s already a successful season, and FSU enters the ACC Championship game as slight betting favorites over the Louisville Cardinals.

A win over the Cardinals almost assuredly puts the Noles in the College Football Playoffs for the second time, and the first time since 2014, despite what many talking heads want to say on social media.

This team has been a joy to cover, and they have so many winning qualities. The culture is second to none, and despite what rival fans think, I don’t think this FSU program will drop off a cliff like they hope after this season.

Nevertheless, I want to look at five major takeaways from this regular season.
