Florida State redshirt junior running back Trey Benson currently has 113 rushing attempts for 721 yards and 10 touchdowns. He is only 279 yards away from reaching 1,000 yards in a season for the first time since Cam Akers did so in 2019.

However, the coaching staff has been adamant on resting its players to keep them healthy and fresh for a potential postseason run. While Benson could be able to have a great level of success versus North Alabama, I believe that this could be a prime opportunity for redshirt freshman running back Rodney Hill to emerge.

During the 2023 season, the Statesboro (GA) native has 41 carries for 162 yards and one touchdown. Hill did not play in last week’s contest against the arch-rival Miami Hurricanes. Benson and Toafili were the two main backs that were utilized.

I could see the offense trying to be able to run the football and get out of the game healthy.
