FSU football: Impact players versus Pittsburgh Panthers
QB Jordan Travis
I have included redshirt senior quarterback Jordan Travis in yet another impact players article. This is to be expected considering that the Heisman Trophy race is ultimately wide open for any player to win the coveted award.
At the moment, Washington signal caller Michael Penix Jr. is listed as a favorite to win the Heisman, but Travis is beginning to catch up in the race with his performance against the Wake Forest Demon Deacons where he completed 22 of his 35 passes for 359 yards and three touchdowns.
The West Palm Beach (FL) native has been a consistent piece in the Seminoles’ offensive unit, but the talented quarterback will need to elevate his game in the month of November to give himself a shot at the Heisman.
The Panthers are solid in pass defense this season where they allow 218.4 passing yards per game (53rd in the FBS). However, can the Pittsburgh defense be able to slow down the playmakers that the Seminoles possess?
