FSU football has a football game this Saturday versus the Pittsburgh Panthers.

While the Seminoles are focusing on the Panthers, it is difficult as fans not to fast forward to next weekend when Florida State will hosting their arch-rival Miami Hurricanes.

Doak Campbell Stadium will be an absolutely electric environment. There will be a multitude of highly-touted prospects in attendance for the contest. Even though the stadium was considered a “sell-out” for the three past home matchups versus Virginia Tech, Syracuse, and Duke, the fan base always seems to have a little bit more juice to them when the Hurricanes come to town.

Head football coach Mario Cristobal and company will look to spoil the Seminoles’ undefeated season, while also gaining momentum on the recruiting trail.

One notable prospect that will be in attendance for the FSU-Miami game is Class of 2025 five-star safety DJ Pickett from Zephyrhills, Florida. He is considered to be the top prospect in the state of Florida, in terms of the 2025 recruiting cycle.

Pickett is a prospect that this coaching staff certainly needs to land. In-state rivals Miami and Florida are trying their absolute best to acquire his services. Luckily, the Seminoles have the best on-the-field product thus far since they started with an 8-0 record. However, the Hurricanes and Gators will do whatever it takes to bring the talented prospect to their respective schools.

Pickett has not visited the Seminoles since the month of March, so it is pivotal that the coaching staff was able to get him back on campus. Defensive back Patrick Surtain Sr. certainly has a ton to sell with Pickett as the current defensive backs on Florida State’s roster have not allowed a passing touchdown in the month of October and have only allowed three passing touchdowns all season.

Overall, if the Seminoles were able to land the Zephyrhills standout then that would create seismic waves to the national recruiting landscape.
