FSU football: Q&A with 2026 4-star DB commit Darryl “Tre” Bell III
FSU football received great news on Tuesday as Class of 2026 defensive back Darryl Bell III from Barbara Goleman Senior High School in Miami, Florida announced his commitment to the Seminoles.
Bell III is now classified as a four-star prospect according to Rivals.
We at ChopChat conducted a Q&A with the talented defensive back to give others an opportunity to learn about him as a person, a prospect, and his decision for picking the Seminoles.
Q&A with Bell III
Q: What/who inspired you to play the game of football?
A: “When I was younger, I really looked up to Ray Lewis.”
—
Q: What kind of hobbies do you like to do when you are away from the football field?
A: “Some hobbies that I like to do away from football is cook and playing the video game.”

—
Q: The Seminoles extended an offer back in the month of May. What made you feel like this was the right moment to commit to Florida State? How did it feel to tell the coaching staff that you were committing?
A: “FSU felt like home from the moment I stepped foot on campus for a camp. The way I built a bond with Coach Fuller, Coach Shannon and the other defensive back coaches was amazing. It felt unbelievable when I was telling Coach Norvell that I wanted to commit because I would’ve never thought I’d be in the position.”
—
Q: Are you planning on come down for any visits during the season?
A: “Yes, hopefully.”
