Unleash QB Jordan Travis

Florida State redshirt senior quarterback Jordan Travis was included in the Heisman Trophy discussion this offseason. However, some fans suggest that he has not played up to the lofty standard. The truth of the matter is that the West Palm Beach (FL) native has performed well this season where he has completed 92 of his 145 passes for 1,198 yards and 12 touchdowns with only one interception. He has also showcased his dual-threat ability where he has rushed for 119 yards and two touchdowns.

As I mentioned before, Syracuse was absolutely humiliated by the North Carolina Tar Heels where they were defeated by a score of 40-7. Quarterback Drake Maye had an amazing performance against the Orange where he completed 33 of his 47 passes for 442 yards and three touchdowns. He also added in 55 rushing yards and a touchdown to his remarkable day.

While running back Trey Benson stole the show in last week’s 39-17 victory against the Virginia Tech Hokies where he recorded 200 rushing yards, quarterback Jordan Travis must be salivating over the potential of having a great game. The Seminoles will face off against a Syracuse defense that is ranked 85th in the FBS in pass defense where they allow 241 passing yards per game. This could just the opportunity that Travis needs to showcase his talent.
