FSU football will be taking on the Virginia Tech Hokies on Saturday, October 7th at 3:30 p.m. in the friendly confines of Doak Campbell Stadium.

The Seminoles are currently listed as 23.5-point home favorites against the Hokies. FSU is also coming off a much-needed bye week after a grueling 31-24 overtime road victory versus the Clemson Tigers.

Virginia Tech is riding high with confidence after their surprising 38-21 home victory against the Pittsburgh Panthers. While the Hokies possess a 2-3 record, this result showcases that they are still competing at a high level.

When playing a football game after a bye week, football teams can often be lackadaisical at times. However, as fans have noticed throughout the season, the Seminoles have not played their best game just yet. While the football team should have a sense of confidence about themselves after beating both LSU and Clemson, it should not take the Hokies lightly.

Even though FSU is favored by three possessions against VT, we all witnessed what transpired in Chestnut Hill three weeks ago (the Seminoles were favored by 25.5 points). Head football coach Mike Norvell and company seem to be inspired to make amends for their inconsistent play and get back on the right track.

In this article, I want to focus on three impact players from both Florida State and Virginia Tech that will likely make a difference in Saturday’s contest.
