FSU football has made its presence felt in the 2025 recruiting cycle, where they have already secured the commitments of three-star quarterback Tramell Jones Jr. from Mandarin High School in Jacksonville (FL) and three-star wide receiver DL Hardison from Eau Gallie High School in Melbourne (FL).

As most expect, with the Seminoles only having two commitments in their recruiting class, they are far from finished acquiring high-quality talent.

On Tuesday afternoon, Class of 2025, four-star running back Alvin Henderson from Elba High School in Elba (AL) included Florida State in his top ten schools list.

There is a ton of competition in his recruitment, including the in-state schools such as Alabama and Auburn. The talented running back has even received a crystal ball prediction in favor of the Auburn Tigers with a confidence level of 6 out of 10 from AuburnUndercover Auburn Insider Christian Clemente.

While Henderson has visited the Tigers four times during the calendar year, he has also had his fair share of trips to Tallahassee in 2023, where he has unofficially visited three times.
While the Seminoles have already secured pledges from two running back prospects in the 2024 recruiting cycle with four-stars, Kameron Davis and Micahi Danzy. The running back position is one where you must continue stack talent year after year.

Henderson is a sensational athlete making serious noise in the high school ranks. During the 2022 season, he had 195 rushing attempts for 2,636 yards and 47 touchdowns (yes…47!!). He also had a tremendous 2021 season, where he had 112 rushing attempts for 1,115 yards and 24 touchdowns.

Running backs coach David Johnson is starting to create a positive narrative of developing players at his position. It is noteworthy that redshirt sophomore Trey Benson had 154 carries for 990 yards and nine touchdowns.

Previously, the former Oregon transfer was afterthought after suffering season-ending lower body injuries with the Ducks.

A strong showing by Benson and the other guys in that unit would be more proof for Henderson to consider as he narrows his list of schools.
