FSU Football: What does a Top 5 2024 recruiting class mean for 2025?
By Jason Zang
FSU football moved to the No. 4 spot nationally after the commitment of five-star safety KJ Bolden. I don’t think the Noles are done and could move even further up the rankings.
Top WR Jeremiah Smith (Current Ohio State Commit), CB Jamari Howard, and DE Booker Pickett Jr are more targets that could make the call for the Noles in the coming months. Smith has gone on to say great things about Mike Norvell and the Seminoles.
FSU could move past Florida and challenge Georgia and Ohio State in the rankings with the addition of Smith, Howard, and Pickett. The 2024 class and a great season will provide plenty of momentum moving into 2025.
Mike Norvell and his staff have done a great job preparing for the next class in the current year, as they seem to be ahead of the game, especially with his camps and getting prospects on campus early and often.
Current Commits for 2025
4-Star QB Tramell Jones
4-Star WR DL Hardison
2025 Outlook
FSU football has QB Tramell Jones committed already, and is a plus for the Noles, as quarterbacks tend to be great recruiters for the class. 2024 had QB Luke Kromenhoek and RB Kam Davis as the cornerstone of that class, and they recruited hard for the Noles.
There are many top recruits looking at FSU right now. I look for Jones to have a good season and move up in the QB rankings, and maybe he gets an Elite 11 invite. The on-field success of the Noles this season and Jones could also sway star WR Jamie Ffrench to reconsider FSU, and that would be a huge momentum swing.
The 2025 recruiting class has great depth on the offensive and defensive side of the ball, and with FSU having a lot of seniors and juniors who will most likely be leaving for the draft, this could be a pivotal class for Mike Norvell and his staff.
They need to show they can continually recruit the high school ranks and fill in with the portal when needed. Now that the roster has flipped and Norvell has had ample time to build his team, it’s time to show the nation that Florida State is back!
