FSU football started July 2023 with fireworks, landing several commitments in the 2024 recruiting class. I’ve been preaching patience with the fanbase as they began to respond to what other teams did on the recruiting trail.

That patience looks to be paying off with FSU football in the mix for several of their targets with July decisions. One of those targets is three-star athlete Kevin Levy, who FSU recruits as a defensive back.

He’s the first cousin of FSU defensive back commit Ricky Knight III, and they are high school teammates.

The two took their official visit to FSU together on June 16th-18th. Will Levy join his cousin in #Tribe24? We’ll find out Saturday, as Levy announced he’ll make his college decision on July 15th.

Levy announced a top-five list of Illinois, Florida State, Rutgers, Kentucky, and Louisville. Kentucky is the only school listed he didn’t officially visit, with Illinois getting the last official visit. They were the first school to offer him as well.

FSU is the in-state school but the only school he has visited multiple times this spring. Levy plays both ways for his high school and is a standout on the track with a blazing 10.62 one-hundred-meter time.

Levy lists 6’0″ and 170 pounds and ranks as the No. 534 player nationally and the No. 48 athlete. He ranks as the No. 74 player in the Sunshine State, and would be another player right from Miami’s back yard. He holds offers from Florida Gators and Miami Hurricanes.

Levy is part of a trio of FSU football targets expected to announce their college decisions Saturday. FSU could add up to four players to its 2024 recruiting class that ranks No. 15 nationally.

If they add all four, they would move to No. 13, with five-star defensive back target Charles Lester making his decision on July 28th.
