FSU football: 4-star CB Wardell Mack includes FSU in top four
FSU football already has one cornerback committed to their 2024 recruiting class with four-star Ricky Knight III from Cardinal Newman High School in West Palm Beach, Florida.
However, the acquisitions do not stop at Knight III as there are a couple of prospects that the Seminoles have their sights set on such as five-star Charles Lester III, four-star Jalewis Solomon, four-star Wardell Mack, four-star Cai Bates, four-star Jamari Howard, and three-star Kevin Levy.
On Monday afternoon, four-star Wardell Mack from John Ehret High School in Marrero, Louisiana, has included Florida State in his top four schools list. Other teams on the list include Texas, LSU, and Florida.
Mack had a busy summer official visit schedule with trips to Florida State (June 2-4), Florida (June 16-18), and Texas (June 23-25).
Unfortunately, the Louisiana native took his official visit with the Seminoles in the beginning of the month of June. While FSU have the first impression, it could also allow other teams involved in the recruitment to enhance the visit experience from the previous trip.
Following his official visit with the Longhorns, crystal ball predictions in favor of Texas began to appear for the talented defensive back. It is a bit surprising, given that he is a Louisiana native and has not officially visited the LSU Tigers yet(could be why the Texas predictions came).
Even though Texas has emerged as the crystal ball leader, it still benefits the Seminoles to be involved in the recruitment, given that recruiting is ever-changing. While five-star Charles Lester III, four-star Jalewis Solomon, and three-star Kevin Levy have all been trending positively to the Seminoles, it is still advised to continue to recruit prospects like Mack.
Defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain Sr. is beginning to find his groove in recruiting with the Seminoles as he has landed two highly-touted prospects during the month of July.
