As we near the end of June, not much has happened in the recruiting world for FSU basketball. Leonard Hamilton held a team camp in mid-June, and had a nice turnout.

Some notable prospects from the 2024 class were Derrion Reid and Marcus Allen. Both guys did not disappoint and had a solid showing.

July starts three live periods and showcase camps and is one of the busiest recruiting months on the calendar. The first of three live periods will be on July 6-9, the second will be July 15-16, and the third will be July 24-27.

Plus, you have the show companies having live events with North Augusta, South Carolina (Nike Peach Jam); Rock Hill, South Carolina (Adidas); and Cartersville, Georgia (Under Armour).

I am sure there will be other tournaments and showcases as well, but it will be a busy month for Leonard Hamilton and his staff.

Below are some prospects that I feel FSU basketball is looking at the most and have a shot at.

Karter Knox ★★★★★ 2024 (#6 OV)

SF 6-5, 205lbs, Tampa FL

Competition: Kentucky, Louisville, Arkansas, Auburn, LSU, USF

Commitment Confidence: 30%

Knox would be the crown jewel, but this is probably a two-team race with Kentucky and Louisville but if FSU can get him on campus and start the season off well they may have a shot.

Derrion Reid ★★★★ 2024 (#38 OV)

SF 6-6, 185lbs, Grovetown GA

Competition: Georgia, Kansas, Mississippi State, Georgia Tech

Commitment Confidence: 45%

I see Georgia as the main competition here, Hamilton and his staff did well getting him on campus this month for the team camp and hopefully, that sways him. Kansas just offered him and that worries me a little also.

Jaeden Mustaf ★★★★ 2024 (#39 OV)

G 6-4, 205lbs, Matthews NC

Competition: Indiana, NC State, Maryland, Miami, Virginia Tech

Commitment Confidence: 75%

Out of all the guys on this list I just feel the most confident with Mustaf, he is a great fit at FSU and I think getting him on campus again will make a huge difference.

Amier Ali ★★★★ 2024 (#48 OV)

SF 6-8, 175lbs, Bradenton FL

Competition: Ohio State, Alabama, Arizona State, Arkansas, Kentucky, Texas

Commitment Confidence: 45%

I don’t have a clear read on Ali but home-field advantage could play a role here, but with teams like Kentucky, Texas, and Kansas it may be an uphill battle.

Marcus Allen ★★★★ 2024 (#51 OV)

PF 6-6, 190bs, Chandler, AZ

Competition: Missouri, Indiana, Miami, Villanova, Florida Gulf Coast

Commitment Confidence: 60%

I think Hamilton and company can snag Allen if they really go hard after him.
