FSU football has a commitment from 2025 four-star QB Tramell Jones and would like to get his teammate, five-star 2025 wide receiver Jaime Ffrench to join the program.

Ffrench participated at FSU’s Elite Camp earlier this month and proved why he’s one of the most sought-after players in the 2025 recruiting class.

Shortly after the visit, Ffrench announced he would commit on July 22nd and released a top five school list of Alabama, FSU, Penn State, Notre Dame, and Ohio State. Some may have thought the timing favored FSU after competing on campus, plus his teammate committed already.

However, Notre Dame analyst Tom Loy predicted Ffrench would commit to Alabama with confidence of six. That’s not what you want to hear as a FSU fan, However, it’s a LONG time until December 2024 and the Early Signing Period.

If Ffrench does commit to FSU, it would mean they would have to fight tooth and nail to hang on to that commitment.

While you always take a commitment from a player like Ffrench, it’s not the end of the world with so much time left in his recruitment. I’m surprised he’s announcing this early, but some young men have a plan and stick to it.

We’ll see how it shakes out, but the good news is FSU was the only Florida school listed in his top five. FSU grabbed their first five-star receiver since forever with Hykeem Williams in the 2023 recruiting cycle and has several blue-chip receivers committed for 2024.

FSU expects to have an elite offense in 2023, so that may capture Ffrench’s attention. However, we must remember crystal ball predictions are not always 100 percent accurate, and things can change.

There’s still about a month until Ffrench announces, so we’ll have to see what transpires between now and then.
