FSU football: 2024 blue-chip Jonathan Daniels trending to the Noles?
FSU football is hosting 14 official visitors on campus this weekend.
It seems the Seminoles have done a fantastic job recruiting on the offensive side of the football. However, FSU has not secured any offensive linemen prospects in their 2024 recruiting class to protect their rising superstar commit, Luke Kromenhoek.
Daniels is in Tallahassee
Five-star offensive tackle Jonathan Daniels from Pine Forest High School in Pensacola, Florida, is at the top of their wishlist, and it seems as though the coaching staff has tasked Kromenhoek with putting on his recruiting hat this weekend.
Daniels received a crystal ball prediction in favor of the Seminoles back on March 2, 2023 from 247Sports’ Director of Football Recruiting Steve Wiltfong with a confidence level of 6 out of 10.
On3 has also gotten involved, where Josh Newberg and Sam Spiegelman have put in expert predictions for Daniels to land with FSU.
It is fascinating to look at the recruiting rankings for the talented offensive lineman. On3 has him listed as a five-star and the number one offensive tackle prospect, while Rivals and ESPN classify him as a four-star. Shockingly, 247Sports think Daniels is a high-tier three-star.
For what it’s worth, I believe he is a four-star prospect (around a 92 composite ranking) who could service best at the right tackle position.
Daniels has already officially visited LSU (June 2-4), Kentucky (June 9-11), and Georgia (June 16-18). Some individuals felt like the defending national champions, Georgia Bulldogs, would be the biggest competition for the Seminoles.
However, the confidence of Daniels committing to Florida State has remained high.
Atkins’ recruiting ability
Fans understand how dangerous offensive coordinator/offensive line coach Alex Atkins can be as a recruiter via the high school ranks.
Unfortunately, the Seminoles have seen two of their top three targets commit elsewhere, with four-star offensive tackle Manasse Itete and four-star interior offensive lineman Jason Zandamela committing to the USC Trojans. It is paramount that the Seminoles are able to lock down the recruitment with Daniels and get him in the class.
