FSU football: 2024 defensive back receives two crystal ball predictions
FSU football hosted six highly-touted prospects this weekend for official visits.
The notable visitors include five-star cornerback Charles Lester III, four-star wide receiver BJ Gibson (FSU commit), four-star cornerback Ricky Knight III, four-star safety Zavier Mincey, three-star defensive tackle Alex January, and three-star cornerback Kevin Levy.
The Seminoles have not secured a commitment since five-star tight end prospect Landen Thomas flipped from Georgia to Florida State on April 17th.
It seems as though FSU is due for some positive news shortly.
On Sunday afternoon, three-star cornerback target Kevin Levy from Cardinal Newman High School in West Palm Beach, Florida, received two crystal ball predictions to Florida State with confidence levels of 6 out of 10 from Swamp247 Florida Insider Blake Alderman and Noles247 Contributor Zach Blostein.
While crystal ball predictions do not indicate that the prospect will indeed commit and sign with the university, it is a good indicator of where they are leaning with their decision.
Levy spoke to various members of the media after his official visit. He discussed how amazing the trip was.
The coaching staff likes Levy as a cornerback, nickel, and safety. He prefers to play cornerback and nickel. However, they think he is very versatile on the defensive side of the football.
A decision timetable has not been announced. The thought process would likely be during July to ensure the completion of his official visit to Illinois next weekend.
Defensive backs coach Patrick Surtain Sr. has not landed a cornerback prospect in this recruiting cycle thus far. With Levy possibly leaning in FSU’s favor, this does not interfere with the Seminoles pursuing five-star cornerback target Charles Lester III.
I believe the Seminoles will go after three cornerback prospects this cycle considering redshirt senior starters Renardo Green and Jarrian Jones departing after the 2023 season.
Could Coach Surtain add Levy to the 2024 recruiting class sooner rather than later?
