FSU football had eight members of its 2023 recruiting class enroll early and jumpstart their respective college careers. I’ve written about the importance of high school players enrolling early if they expect to play as freshmen.

It allows them to acclimate to college life, learn the playbook, form a rapport with teammates and coaches, and get months in a legit college strength and conditioning program.

The latter hinders most from playing early, especially quarterbacks, wide receivers, and offensive and defensive linemen. Offensive linemen playing too early has been one large factor in why FSU hadn’t developed quality depth over the last decade.

Luckily, many FSU early enrollees fit those positions, and several have already started standing out in spring camp. What can we expect from the seven(one more will come soon) that arrived on campus over the past week or so?

Will any of them carve out a role as freshmen, although they didn’t enroll early? That’s what we’ll talk about in this piece.
