FSU football finally got back on the winning side of things in the 2022 season and four consecutive losing seasons.

I said I expected eight wins for the Noles well before most folks hopped on the bandwagon because I knew the teams on the schedule were not as good as some folks thought.

I knew Miami, Boston College, Florida, Syracuse, and others were not good teams, even though ESPN’s FPI metric overrated them(just as it’s doing with several teams before the 2023 season).

ESPN projected 7.1 wins for the Noles in 2022, but they probably should have won 11 games, given they gave away a win against NC State by blowing a big halftime lead.

They beat themselves against Wake Forest and Clemson even though they were missing Fabien Lovett, and Jared Verse played at far less than 100 percent after getting injured against Louisville.

The Noles project to win the ACC, according to several oddsmakers, and the Noles don’t have to play their usual slate of ACC Atlantic opponents since the conference did away with divisions.

Here we will rank the best and worst teams in the ACC going into 2023. If you’re a frequent reader of my work, you know I like to use advanced metrics to support my opinion. We’ll use FEI(BCF Toys) since it seemed more accurate than SP+ last year.
