FSU football had one of the more underrated signings in the 2023 recruiting cycle for the Florida State was four-star athlete Edwin Joseph from Chaminade-Madonna Prep in Hollywood, Florida.

Talented Pieces

He will be arriving to Tallahassee this summer as a cornerback. The Seminoles have some talented players at the position such as Jarrian Jones, Renardo Green, Greedy Vance, Fentrell Cypress II, Kevin Knowles II, and Azareye’h Thomas.

However, five of those six players are at least in their junior season heading into 2023. This means that Joseph could have an opportunity to shine in the Seminoles’ defensive scheme sooner rather than later.

Chaminade-Madonna Prep Connections

Acquiring the talented Chaminade-Madonna Prep standout was a massive feat for the Seminoles due to the high school having a wide variety of highly-touted prospects. Out of the blue, Joseph decided to share a picture featuring himself with two of his high school teammates (five-star wide receiver Joshisa Trader and four-star safety Zaquan Patterson) with “😉😉” emojis.

This Instagram story came after five-star Joshisa Trader scheduled a multi-day unofficial visit with the Seminoles from June 8-11, first reported by Noles247 Insider Zach Blostein.

Dugans is hot on the trail

While FSU has four wide receiver prospects in their recruiting class, it has not stopped them from potentially recruiting a fifth one. In my personal opinion, I think the Seminoles should go all-in on the Chaminade-Madonna Prep standout as he is one of the top wide receivers in the entire country.

NB2FSU

Joseph was not done recruiting on social media as he took his efforts to Twitter where he posted the following: “NB2FSU”.

In case you were wondering, NB2FSU means “Nadeboyz to FSU”. Nade is short for “Chaminade”. This presents the following question: Can the Seminoles acquire the talents of five-star wide receiver Jeremiah Smith (Ohio State commit-seems very unlikely), five-star wide receiver Josiah Trader, and four-star safety Zaquan Patterson, who attend the same high school.

Things are getting very interesting as FSU is getting red hot on the recruiting trail for coveted South Florida prospects. The results were very positive in 2022 for the Seminoles, and now the narrative is changing in Tallahassee.
