FSU football cryptic eyeball emoji season is upon us as the transfer portal has officially ended for non-graduate transfer prospects.

In case you missed it, FSU football quarterback Jordan Travis added fuel to the fire with a tweet that was posted at 9:52 PM EST.

This immediately had Seminole fans wondering what he was referring to.

The obvious guess would be that Florida State could be landing a pass catcher in the transfer portal to help Travis during his final season in Tallahassee.

During the offseason, the Seminoles have had departures from wide receivers Malik McClain and Mycah Pittman Jr., who would have likely contributed in significant fashion in 2023.

Two transfer portal options to monitor for the wide receiver position would be Michigan State’s Keon Coleman (798 yards and 7 touchdowns in 2022) and UTSA’s Zakhari Franklin (1137 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2022).

If the Seminoles were able to obtain the services of Coleman and/or Franklin, it would instantly turn Florida State’s wide receiver position unit from above-average to one of the top units in the country. How about that for “Built for Playmakers”?

I hate to be the individual who mentions this, but it is the start of May. You know what that means… The man, the myth, the legend: Destyn Hill. Thats right! According to a report from On3 National Recruiting Analyst Sam Spiegelman, he stated that Class of 2021 four-star wide receiver Destyn Hill is expected to enroll at Florida State in May. Since Hill signed with the Seminoles back in February 2021, his enrollment at the university has been delayed. I know fans are in “wait-and-see mode” with the Edna Karr High School football standout, but it is worth mentioning as a possibility for what Travis was referring to.

Could Travis suggest Florida State is in a good position to land UAB redshirt senior safety Jaylen Key? The talented defender is a Tallahassee (FL) native and will be visiting the Seminoles this weekend. The safety position remains to be a position of need for a defensive unit that will be looking to replace the production of the ultra-talented Jammie Robinson, who declared for the 2023 NFL Draft and was later drafted by the Carolina Panthers.

It should be known that Jordan Travis has a birthday on May 2, 2023. He could simply be doing the eyeball emojis due to him having a birthday. However, the tweet certainly gave Seminole fans a lot to talk about.
