Difference-Maker at Tight End

The tight end position is an important position in Mike Norvell’s offense and why they went to the transfer portal to land two of the best tight ends available in Jaheim Bell and Kyle Morlock.

The coaches have thrown numbers at the position with walk-ons getting playing time. However, they have been some development with players like Markeston Douglas and Brian Courtney has shown some flashes.

Jerrelle Powers has some potential, but there are too many bodies taking up scholarships at the position. It’s time for the Noles to land some top-tier talent out of high school.

The only problem is there are not that many difference-makers with ties to FSU football in this recruiting cycle.

The top target, Landen Thomas is committed to Georgia though FSU got him back on campus recently. That’s one they will need to stay on until he enrolls elsewhere.

There is a couple of other blue-chip targets from the Peach State, but that’s about it. Tight end is one of the few positions where FSU doesn’t have a commitment.
