FSU football will return to Doak Campbell Stadium Saturday afternoon for the first of two home games to close out the 2022 regular season schedule. They will look for their fourth consecutive win when they take on the Louisiana-lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns.

FSU enters the game as -24 point betting favorites, which most pundits have picked the Noles to win and cover.

FSU football vs. Louisiana: Betting Odds

The Noles are -24 betting favorites from the latest odds released, with the over/under coming in at 52. That implies a 38-14 outcome in the game.

This is a game the Noles could jump out early like they have in the last three games. The only thing that can keep this game close is if FSU turns the ball over several times. As we mentioned in the preview, Louisiana’s defense ranks among the top nationally in takeaways. I think FSU will get up early and play a lot of backups in the game to have their starters as fresh as possible for the Florida game next week.

I can see a late Louisiana touchdown getting bettors the backdoor cover in this game.

FSU should be able to run the ball as they have in the last few games where they eclipsed the 200-yard rushing mark.

A win for the Noles puts them at the eight win total I set in my preseason game-by-game predictions with Florida on deck next week. It’s already a successful season on many fronts, but beating Florida next week and reaching nine wins would be the cherry on top.
