FSU football: ACC Power Rankings after week eleven
By Kelvin Hunt
I had FSU football in the top half of my preseason ACC Power Rankings, and I feel like the way I’ve been on point with my takes regarding the rest of the ACC.
FSU football finally got the opportunity to prove what I’ve been saying all along about the Syracuse Orange. FSU will finish above .500 in the ACC for the first time since 2016.
North Carolina defeated Wake Forest in a shootout and will represent the ACC Coastal. Miami got lucky they faced Georgia Tech’s backup QB and he kept throwing interceptions. Clemson defeated Louisville and Duke reaches seven wins in Mike Elko’s first season in Durham which is really impressive.
The surprise of the weekend was Boston College coming from behind to defeat NC State
Here are my updated rankings by division and then overall as a conference:
ACC Atlantic
- Clemson (9-1, 7-0 ACC)
- FSU (7-3, 5-3 ACC)

Parting Thoughts
Clemson’s win over Louisville and their win over FSU keeps them in the top spot. However, with the way FSU has played over the past three weeks, I have to move them into the second spot. NC State and Wake Forest losing helps that cause, and also sends North Carolina into the No. 3 spot.
I place FSU over North Carolina because I believe that would beat the Tarheels because their defense is so awful. Syracuse drops to No. 5 and remain in front of NC State and Louisville with head-to-head wins over both.
The Noles will play out of conference against Louisiana, but there is a few ACC games worthy noting in week 11. Syracuse will take on Wake Forest. Louisville will travel to NC State and Miami travels to Clemson to get their wig pushed back. Duke and Pittsburgh will battle in the ACC Coastal.
