FSU football, a.k.a. the box office boys will be back in action again. The ACC Network announced the Noles will play in prime time for the eighth time this year when they travel to take on the Syracuse Orange on Saturday, November 12th.

That matchup could be between two top 25 teams if Syracuse defeats Pittsburgh and the Noles defeat Miami this week.

Syracuse is a +3.5 betting underdog on the road and FSU opened as -9.5 betting favorites over Miami.

The Noles will be in prime time against the Miami Hurricanes this week. The 2014 season was the last time the Noles appeared in the prime time slot near this often.

Thoughts

I can’t argue with any of the tweets, as they speak for themselves. I pointed out before the season began how well FSU does among TV viewers, and the TV executives have put the FSU logo to good use this year.

I can’t help but think it’s the ACC trying to build a case for trying to secure another TV deal or something. Ironically, the ACC didn’t seem to care about FSU the last few years, as it was all about the Clemson Tigers.

However, FSU has gotten its act together on the field, and the ACC is back on the bandwagon.

A night game at Syracuse should be a good product on TV as they have sold out their last two home games. I’d think those fans will show up regardless of if the Orange defeated Pittsburgh or not since it’s the best season they’ve had since 2018 when they won 10 games.

If FSU and Syracuse have a ranking that week, it would give the ACC two games between teams ranked in the top 25.

If FSU beats Miami as I expect, I think they’ll go into the game against Syracuse as small betting favorites, with a real chance to win nine games if they can pull out a win on the road.
