FSU football will host the No. 4 Clemson Tigers Saturday night in primetime at Doak Campbell Stadium with the chance to improve to 5-2.

It’s a game that could make FSU football quickly forget about the gut-wrenching loss against NC State last week if the Noles could pull off the upset.

It would give the Noles some great momentum going into a bye-week they desperately need to heal up at positions on both sides of the ball.

It would also put winning nine games back into the realistic category.

FSU football vs. Clemson: Betting Odds

The Noles are +3.5 betting underdogs in this matchup, with the over/under coming in at 51. That implies a 27-24 outcome in the game. Those numbers is nearly identical to the NC State game last week.  I wrote about why the point spread is so close, given that FSU isn’t ranked and Clemson is No. 4 nationally.

Clemson is the more talented team and likely has better depth at some positions. However, FSU football has enough talent to pull off the upset. The key for them is execution and avoid self-inflicted miscues, and turning the ball over.

I’ve gone with betting the total points under in the last two weeks and have won both times. This one probably has a few more points scored than last week since Clemson’s offense is better than NC State’s. I’d probably give a slight lean to the over, especially because FSU could find some success through the air if their receivers decided to catch the ball Saturday night.
