FSU football looks to right the ship against No. 4 Clemson Saturday night in Doak Campbell Stadium.

The Noles haven’t beaten the Tigers since 2014 when Sean Maguire replaced a suspended Jameis Winston to lead the No. 1 Noles past No. 23 Clemson in overtime.

FSU took Clemson to the brink in Death Valley last season, leading with fewer than four minutes to play in the game before succumbing late to some missed tackles and unfavorable referee flags(shocker, I know).

FSU football enters the 2022 game with a solid shot to pull the upset as +3.5 betting underdogs after the line opened at Clemson -7.

We looked at how each team fared between the three common ACC opponents Wednesday, and we can argue that FSU has dominated more game time against those three teams, despite losing two of those three and Clemson defeating all three teams.

The biggest difference is FSU’s inconsistency on offense against Wake Forest and NC State. The offense is the key to the game against Clemson Saturday night. If they show up and execute as they did earlier in the season?

There’s no reason they can’t defeat Clemson. Let’s look at my five major keys to defeating the Tigers.
