FSU football coaches have done a good job of evaluating talent early, often extending scholarship offers to players well before they are known to the masses.

2023 FSU QB commit Chris Parson falls into that category. A three-star recruit at the time of his FSU commitment last July, Parson has seen his stock increase and has a composite four-star ranking.

He’s also garnered scholarship offers from the likes of Arkansas, Indiana, SMU, and Mississippi State since committing to the Noles.

The next notch in his belt is earning an Elite 11 Finals Invitation. Parson competed at a regional Elite 11 event in Tennessee recently, performing well but didn’t solidify one of the three spots to earn an Elite 11 Finals invite.

It was possible he could receive the invite later, and that’s what happened Tuesday:

Impact

The Elite 11 Finals will be in Los Angeles, Calif. from June 28th to June 30th, with Parson tentatively scheduled to officially visit the Noles the week before. Parson ranks as the No. 301 player and No. 16 QB nationally and has said he wants to help build a dynasty recruiting class to help him bring the Noles back to nationally prominence.

I can’t think of anything better than going out to the Elite 11 Finals, performing well, increasing his recruiting ranking, which should help with recruiting. Players want to play with other great players, and adding an Elite 11 Finals accolade should carry a little more weight. The Noles have six 2023 commitments with room for a couple of more wide receivers.

Parson will join two other FSU QB targets in Rickie Collins and Brock Glenn, who earned offers from the FSU coaching staff within the last two weeks. Collins is a Purdue commit planning to officially visit FSU on June 10, and Glenn remains uncommitted. If any of these three QB’s sign with the Noles, it’ll be the second consecutive year the Noles have signed an Elite 11 Finals QB.
