The 2022 recruiting cycle is winding down, meaning the 2023 class will begin heating up.
Nobody understands that more than 2023 FSU quarterback commit Chris Parson.
Blue-chip quarterbacks are often building blocks for recruiting classes, and Parson has been working behind the scenes to influence more quality players to join him with his commitment to the Noles.
He communicated he’s on a mission as National Signing Day came to a close Wednesday afternoon:
play time over now. #Tribe23 it’s time to start forming the dynasty team 🍢

2023 FSU tight end commit Randy Pittman echoed those sentiments.

The Noles have four commitments in the 2023 recruiting cycle, including four-star legacy defensive end Lamont Green Jr. and three-star wide receiver Vandrevius Jacobs.
2023 recruiting rankings are still in the preliminary stages, and they will change several times between today and a year from now. However, Parson is putting actions behind his words.
Myboy @C_Parson2 talk to me and recruit me more than half the coaches that offered me😂fsu yall Definitely got yall One of the Ones🤝

That’s four-star wide receiver Santana Fleming who hails from American Heritage HS in Opa Laka, Florida, and lists over 40 offers.

The Noles did a great job addressing several needs in the 2022 recruiting cycle, but the 2023 class will be important for Mike Norvell to take that next step and sign higher-quality prep players. The Noles have used the transfer portal to close the talent gap on the field with competition the last couple of years instead of signing high school players that would need more time to develop.
It’s why FSU only signed 15 high school players(possibly 16) in the 2022 recruiting class while taking 10 transfers, and will likely be three to four more between now and June.
FSU coaches have been concentrating on Florida and Georgia players heavily for 2023 and beyond, with over 45 percent of the 2023 offers going to players in those two states so far. FSU is investing more resources into recruiting by beefing up its off-the-field support staff.
Those efforts and a player like Chris Parson leading the charge could pay huge dividends. However, the most important aspect is the progression in the wins column for the 2022 season. If they can acheive eight or more wins, it’s possible Parson could have that dynasty class.
