2024 quarterback Luke Kromenhoek committed to Mike Norvell and FSU football Saturday afternoon.

Normally, I wouldn’t spend a great amount of time writing about a player that can’t enroll for another year and a half at the earliest.

Kromenhoek doesn’t have a composite ranking yet and only has offers from Coastal Carolina and UCF. Some casual fans may see that and question the commitment, but Mike Norvell knows what it takes to play quarterback.

He has had lesser touted quarterbacks put up huge numbers in his offenses in the past and already signed two blue-chip quarterbacks since arriving in Tallahassee in December 2017.

2023 QB commit Chris Parson was a three-star recruit when FSU offered, and his ranking has jumped considerably, as he’s now a blue-chip recruit.

I anticipate the same will happen with Kromenhoek as more offers come, and they will come. Norvell is an excellent evaluator of talent and often is among the first to offer players with no major offers.

This commitment came out of the blue a bit, although Kromenhoek has been on campus several times since receiving the offer and as recently as earlier this month.

Here’s why I think it portends to FSU football success in the future.
