FSU football coaches are still working on completing the 2022 recruiting class with players from the transfer portal and maybe 1-2 high school players.

Not only that, but spring practice is underway. However, the transition to the 2023 recruiting class and beyond is already underway for FSU coaches.

They spent the weekend getting several 2023 recruits and beyond on campus, which will hopefully pay dividends later in the recruiting cycle.

It was also good to see the 2023 quarterback commit Chris Parson back on campus. 2024 ATH commit Kameron Davis was back on campus as well.

Thoughts

Chris Parson coming back to campus on his own dime with his family is a great sign. He seems locked in with the Noles and is recruiting other offensive weapons to join him in Tallahassee. FSU did a great job of getting several local products to campus after visiting high schools around the way this week.

FSU has struggled to land local talent, but there are a few intriguing targets in this recruiting cycle to keep an eye on.

There were several recruits on campus that didn’t post on social media at the time of this piece. 2023 offensive tackle Roderick Kearney, 2023 wide receiver Adam Hopkins, 2023 wide receiver Bryson Rogers, and others were on campus.

FSU coaches have always done a great job of getting recruits on campus whenever COVID doesn’t affect things, and the more they can get them on campus, the higher the chances of landing a commitment.

The 2023 recruiting class consists of four commitments, and FSU coaches will look to land the difference-makers needed to begin competing for conference and national titles in the next five years. Stay tuned to Chopchat as they get more recruits on campus in the coming weeks.
