FSU football will face its stiffest test Saturday when they take on the Clemson Tigers. It’s a game many FSU football fans believe the Noles have a chance to pull the upset.

It’ll be tough on the road in a hostile environment against one of the top defenses in the nation. However, the Noles are riding momentum after three consecutive wins, and Clemsons’ not playing up to their standard of the past half-of-a-decade.

It’ll take a great effort in all three phases to pull off the win. I want the win like you wouldn’t believe because of what a win would do for the program, and I’d love to make Dabo Swinney eat his words from last year.

However, a loss wouldn’t be the end of the world as long as they don’t get blown out. The Noles are double-digit betting underdogs for a reason, but I’m happy the game feels like it’ll be more competitive than everyone thought in the preseason.

The Noles are in a peculiar situation going into Saturday’s game. Clemson’s defense has been great so far, but their offense has been among the worst in several categories.

If the FSU defense allows more than 21 points, it’ll be the only Power Five defense that has allowed that to happen.

If FSU does suffer defeat, it needs to be something like 20-14 or 20-17. Those losing scores indicate a competitive game.

However, if FSU allows 28+ points, that’s probably not ideal for Adam Fuller. I’ve already provided my five keys to victory. Here are three things I need to see from the Noles Saturday afternoon.
