Former FSU football legendary head coach Bobby Bowden will be laid to rest Saturday. We’ve spent the past week celebrating his life and how he used it to impact the lives of others during his 91 years on this earth.

It has been great to see the love and support shown towards Bobby Bowden, especially in the couple of weeks that preceded his death when his family announced he was dealing with a terminal illness.

Bowden handled the news like everything in life, full of class and inspiring others. As much love and admiration as Bobby Bowden received as of late, and somehow it stills feels like he’s not getting his due.

It could be the NCAA not giving the 22 wins back that they vacated in 2009, the last year he coached college football.

Maybe it’s he was so great at a human that it overshadows all of his accomplishments on the field? Truthfully, that’s what Coach Bowden would rather be remembered for in terms of his legacy. It was important for Coach Bowden that his players grew spiritually and as men.

That is one reason why no other college football program has three NFL Man of the Year awards like the Noles.

However, Coach Bowden was an outstanding college football coach. I know some people would argue Nick Saban is the great coach of all time. That’s hard to argue, but I’m going to present facts that will make you think long and hard about that stance.

Here’s why Bobby Bowden is the greatest college football coach of all time.
